I hope Christmas has been good to you and yours over the break. Sadly, there has been a serious fire at our Days Road, Bristol Depot. The fire started on Boxing Day afternoon and the emergency services attended and extinguished the fire as quickly as possible. Firstly, I am relieved to say the depot was empty at the time and no-one was injured.
However, I am afraid that as a result of the fire, our Days Road depot is currently not in a safe working condition. We are in the fortunate position of being able to temporarily relocate to our old Bristol Depot (Little George Street) while we undergo emergency repairs.
Please note the following:
- Bristol Depot will reopen as normal from Little George Street on January 3rd @ 07:30.
- All phone and email contact details will remain unchanged.
- It is our intention that all pre-confirmed hire requests will be delivered as per confirmation.
- In the unlikely event your hire request has been affected as a result of the fire, you will be contacted in person by the hire desk team to discuss further arrangements.
- Our temporary Bristol address for the forthcoming weeks will be: Little George Street, St Judes, Bristol, BS2 9DQ.
- Little George Street is less than 1 mile from Days Road and map below shows it’s a five minute journey:
I will share further details with you as soon as I am able to over the next few weeks as we become more aware of them. In the meantime, I wanted to ensure that you are made aware of what has happened and more importantly, to reassure you that we have a plan in place to ensure normal working practises can be maintained from our January opening date.
