October has arrived and with the lovely colours in the trees, comes cooler autumnal temperatures, darker mornings and shorter days. We’re seeing changes in demand for our heating and lighting hires in order to keep site progress on track and job schedules moving. You’ll find more info on that below!
A major project we’ve been working on and will be launched soon is our new auto-attendant call answering system. It’s been designed with the needs of our customers in mind and due to our short menu it should ensure your call is directed to the correct department as quickly as possible. Get in touch with us via the usual channels or your sales contact and let us know what you think so we know if we’re getting it right or we need to make changes and we’re grateful for your support!
Alide Hire shortlisted in Property Awards for Second Year
We are thrilled to be shortlisted in both the Bristol and the Bath Property Awards this year after winning the Suppliers and Services award at both events last year.
This year, we are up for the Suppliers gong but also the Employers Award category, which we’re particularly proud of with the fantastic team that we’ve built at Alide who always go above and beyond for our customers.
The winners for the Bath awards will be announced in a gala dinner at Bath’s Apex Hotel on 4 November with many of the region’s Property and Construction firms recognised in the room.
Just 3 weeks later on November 25, Ashton Gate will host the Bristol awards. We are so pleased to be shortlisted and to be in the room with so many of our suppliers, customers and contacts. We’ll report back following the events to let you know how we get on! Everything crossed! ????????????
Seasonal hire changes
As the climate is starting to change, our order book changes with it, heating and lighting equipment is particularly popular both on sites and on DIY projects at present with rising energy costs.

Our Prolectric range of sustainable solar LED lighting and integrated CCTV options can be operated remotely off site with no noise or pollution concerns. With the red diesel ban in place, we’ve got lots of cost effective alternatives ideal for outdoor use now in stock. The influx of battery powered and eco-machines is providing a welcome substitute and making way for some innovative products that we’re really pleased to be able to share with you. Don’t forget to follow our social channels on Facebook, Twitter, Insta and Linkedin, for regular updates of all new arrivals to the fleet.
